It's September...

I don't have too much time right now, but I wanted to post something. ANYTHING really. I'd like to write a novel of an update, but that's just not possible at the moment. So, just a tiny bit of an update.

For starters, I'm poor. We have borrowed money from 3... no, make that 4 different people just to be able to make rent and get a little groceries for the week. Plus, a good friend raided her own cabinets and freezer to give us something to eat.

Why is this happening? Well, everything is going downhill one at a time, right after another. Our car over heated not once, but TWICE a couple of Friday's ago. We were stuck at home for over a week but please don't get me started on why that pisses me off. The Sunday after our car "died"... my dog Ezie got bit by a spider or something. Her face swelled up like a balloon. We had Brian run up to the store to get some children's Benadryl, but we were nervous on the dose because Ezie's so small. We gave her a really small amount, and I had her resting for a few hours. When I checked on her again, however, she was even more swollen and one of her eyes was nearly swollen shut.

Luckily, a close friend (who I grew up knowing as my unofficial step dad), had offered to drive us to the emergency pet hospital if need be. So we called him, and he drove us on over. Ezie got taken back within a minute of arrival. She got a couple of injections and her swelling was already going down before we even left, about an hour later. She's completely fine and dandy now.

All that being said... emergency vet visits are not cheap. Emergency car repair is not cheap. There have been a couple other things in the last month, on top of everything else, that has led to us not being able to grocery shop well or make our rent payment. One thing being our water/sewer/trash bill that spiked out of nowhere to $40+ more than the previous month because of a billing policy change, and 6 new neighbors that moved in upstairs. It's CRAP I tell you. Pure crap.

All of this lack of money has led me to asking to do some work for my dad so I can get $60 to be able to attend a concert. It's a selfish move. We're short on rent (not now, thanks to borrowed money) and needing groceries. I shouldn't care so much about going to a concert. But what's that old saying, if all you have in your pocket is a dime, go get your shoes shined? I've known about this concert for months, but things kept happening and I hadn't been able to get the tickets. The concert is now TOMORROW, and though it's the worst possible time, I want to go. Had it not been for all the emergencies with the dog and the car, I would have gotten my tickets weeks ago. Rarely does anything fun crop up like this. Sometimes, when things are all going down the tubes, you just need to do something fun to take your mind off of it. So dammit, that's what I'm doing. Judge me, I don't care.

It's a Hanson concert, by the way.

In other news...

The wind changed directions yesterday morning. So all the smoke from a fire near Mount Hood covering the sky. While it was still blowing towards Portland yesterday, I was able to get a picture. So I just thought I'd share before I ended this post. TTFN!

missing thing-a-ma-bob.

I like trees. Is that a strange way to start a blog entry? Oh well. It's true. I just think trees are neat to look at. Yes, I did just write the word neat and yes it was in reference to trees. I especially like when trees are mostly flowers instead of leaves. It's like a giant flower bush. Awesome stuff, those trees.

I'm hungry. I ate next to nothing for breakfast, hours ago. A handful of dry cereal (Oatmeal Squares: best cereal ever) isn't very filling in the long run. I must remind myself of this the next time I try to get away with that. The sad part is, this isn't the first time I've had to tell myself to remind myself next time. Maybe I'll learn eventually.

So when you have a shnazzier cell phone, it has one of those slots that you can put a tiny memory card into. I got one of those tiny memory cards for my new phone for Christmas. Well, somewhere in the last week or so, I have lost the thing-a-ma-bob that the tiny memory card goes into when you take it out of the cell phone. You know, it looks like a normal sized memory card, with an opening for the tiny one to fit into. Anyway, I lost it. I have gone as far as moving the couch just to see if it somehow made it's way under there. It's entirely frustrating and yes, I have pouted over it. I want the stupid thing! There are pictures on my phone that I want to get to a computer, but to do so, I need that thing-a-ma-bob! I should also find out what those are really called because I can't complain very long about losing my tiny memory cards thing-a-ma-bob without confusing people. *huff and puff*

My last cell phone still has pictures that I really need off of it. That cell phone did not have a tiny memory card option. The pictures are TRAPPED on that phone. One of my dogs... the small one, the chewer of cords... decided to eat my phone charger. I got a new one from amazon for under $5 and within two days I found the chewy-dog just chewing away on the new charger. I didn't realie the cord had fallen to where she could get to it. She didn't get very far with the new charger, but it was JUST enough that she killed that one too. I'm not made of money, but I'm hoping I can get yet another charger for that phone soon, and start sending the pictures from that phone either to myself or to the internet somewhere. One question, does anyone know if cell phones still turn on if the back of the phone has been removed? As in the battery cover part. As long as the battery doesn't come out, it should still work, right? I don't know that I can get the cover back on the phone because my chewy-dog finds EVERYTHING she is not supposed to find and eats them. So frustrating.

I'm still hungry.

I'm using my moms work computer again. It's Sunday. People are worshiping, and I'm typing. I'm just glad my bladder woke me up in time this morning, or I may have slept right through my alarm. Meaning, I wouldn't be here typing this right now.

My life really isn't that eventful. This blog entry just proves it. Trees, hunger, missing thing-a-ma-bob's... It's pretty pathetic. Oh well, at least my blog looks pretty.

Phoning it in...

Well, texting a blog entry seemed cool in theory. I'm not real sure that a message of about 150 characters should be considered a blog entry. Seems more suited to facebook or twitter. But for a quick update, and for my lack of constant access to a computer, it'll have to do.

I wish my phone decided it liked me again. I've had problems uploading pictures to websites from my phone for nearly a month now. It's sad and it's frustrating as all get out. GRRR and such.

Obviously I'm not texting this entry. I'm using my moms work computer while she's at choir practice. (She works at a church.) Random information.

Today is my cousin Bob's son Austin's 7th birthday. Kids grow up too fast; especially when I only get to see this one once a year. Oh goodness, every year he's older! haha. Crazy. I can't believe it's already been 7 years. Happy Birthday, Austin!

Alright, I really have nothing to say... I just felt the urge to blog. So I did. :) I'm going to end this now with a picture I took earlier this month. It's not amazing, but it makes me happy.
